I received my undergrad degree in June 2022 in Physics Applied to Electronics at the University of Puerto Rico at Humacao. During my sophomore year, I got accepted into the UPRH-UPenn Partnership of Research and Education in Materials (PREM) program that provided research opportunities. Inside the program, I worked under the mentoring of Professor Nicholas J. Pinto in the area of development and electrical characterization of nano-devices based on 2D materials. While in the program PREM we also promoted scientific research to public schools in K-12 grade. Being my research background involved in 2D materials, I plan to keep working with them but in excitonic devices.
